Start by installing a Zone player on your multi media PC

Now you can control any zone player from this PC, either with the Sonos software or a Sonos controller.

Here you share all your music folders using the Sonos software, now your Controller has access to all your music on your PC, from anywhere around the house where there is a zone player. You may want to plug a Buffalo Linkstation into one of the ethernet ports on the Zone Player, now you can have access, wirelessly of course, to up to 50,000 songs.
